K-12 RoboBlocky Math:
Learning Math with Coding and Robotics

\({\rm\bf RoboBlocky\; Math}^{\rm TM}\) is an innovative curriculum designed for \({\rm\bf Learning\;Math\; with\; Coding\; and\; Robotics}^{\rm TM}\). By integrating coding, robotics, and problem-solving, RoboBlocky Math connects math concepts to real-world applications, helping students see the relevance of their learning while developing critical skills for future opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

The RoboBlocky Math curriculum, and its associated software and optional hardware, have been developed over the past decade in a joint partnership between Barobo, Inc. and the C-STEM Center at the University of California, Davis. The curriculum has been shown to increase student engagement and achievement. For example, in one RoboBlocky Math success story, the percentage of 6th grade students meeting or exceeding state math standards jumped from 16% (based on their 5th grade performance the previous year) to 71%.

Designed with diverse learners in mind, the curriculum offers multiple ways for students to demonstrate understanding, whether through solving problems, coding virtual or physical robots, or engaging in discussion and collaboration. The curriculum helps to foster deep conceptual learning, real-world problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning, while promoting engagement and hands-on learning.
